Property bound to fall?

Just when the US recession worst's seem like had gone, and it seems that Malaysia got back to its foot and our properties had been still on the high. One question left... is it sustainable?

Yeah no doubt Penang and KL still had the lowest property valuation in comparison to other capital in Asia. But what fuels the buying?

As of today, everyone seems to be on the buy, and hysterically speak of the profit they could make in short span. Well i heard of these in 1997. Everybody in the stock market before it crashes. I spell gloomy environment in the properties area. Between now till dec 2010, i believe there would be sign of overheat of properties market.

Easy credit around the globe and even in Malaysia create an unsustainable environment. People say that i bullshit. Well lets see whether its sustainable. Cement and steel price high hence price of house is justifiable? Whos chicken and whos the egg? I am very certain cement and steel price rises due to demand in houses hence high price. It will be brought down to normalise level, that i am sure, but property price must first be unsustainable? So how do property price become unsustainable?

When productivity remains and liquidity from bank increases, inflation sips in. Money flow in the market is rather high due to low credit BLRs. So who wants to save when bank is only giving 2++%? "of cos buy properties" , now this the phrase that tells u one thing, everybody is buying, so pls stay on the side.

Well, we will see.

God, I can't do this anymore!

" quoted from http://www.mangine.org/2010/01/bondye-mwen-pa-kapab-fe-anko.html"

I have been at a four births since being in Haiti and without exception, all of these women when they are nearing transition yell out, "Bondye-- mwen pa kapab fè anko!" (God, I can't do this anymore!)

Today as I was out checking on Francette (the lady who does laundry for the orphanage), I saw the Haitian Red Cross attempting to rescue someone who was trapped and still alive under a collapsed cement building. (And had been for 2 days.)

As I stood there listening, I heard people around me talking. Her first child was taken out from the rubble and was dead and lying in a body bag right in front of me. She wailed and wailed because of the death of her child.

But she sat there, clinging to her husband for support because she knew she still had a living child under the rubble. The rescue went on for a while. The smell of death made everyone cover their faces until someone finally brought out a jug of formaldehyde and started splashing it all over the body bag.

We waited and waited while people continued to dig. After some time had passed they were passing water in as they'd apparently found the person and were getting them water. More time passed... and while the rescue continued, the child died.

When they came out with the news that the child died the mother wailed and wailed and wailed, "Bondye! Mwen pa kapab fè anko!" In my mind, images of women delivering their babies flashed through my mind in a slideshow... "Bondye... Mwen pa kapab fè anko! Mwen pa kapab fè anko! Mwen pa kapab fè anko!"

And I realized as I was standing there that every time a woman said that during labor I knew she was wrong. I knew she could. I knew she was in pain but it would pass and it would be totally worth it. Today, my heart sunk as I realized this woman who was in such pain today was in a pain that would never pass...

Sometimes when our sight are short, and our minds are so narrow, we could not even bother about what is happening around us. Ignorant bliss, some called it.. Sometimes i too felt helpless, considering the amount of help that we could offer as Christians. When we are feasting, these people wails and sing hymns or mournings in empty stomach. The meaning of indulgence rings so dearly sometimes.. I guess we need to know our real identity and look toward how to reach ppol in future rather than just being complacent. I for one, couldnt ignore, yet could not help... CK Tan

Jungle Affair in Msia's Road system

Just when we complained about the failure of the government till this day to drive us momentously into becoming a developed nation, we have to really reflect upon ourselves, Are we ready?

If the Rakyat are not ready, it would be like giving monkeys a nice room, but the next day it would be damaged because the ceiling fans and hanging lamps will be used as swinging ropes, and dungs on the bed.

Let me share my despair, by offering 2 major points.

1st. lets us read this news

http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/12/20/nation/5341291&sec=nation

Road bully leaves couple badly hurt

PETALING JAYA: A motorist knocked down a couple on a motorcycle and then, after a confrontation, tried to run them down leaving the two severely injured.

Chong Zie Hau, 24, suffered broken bones to his right leg, right rib and collar bone, and a ruptured lung. He also received 12 stitches on his head.

His wife Tee Siew Yee, also 24, is believed to be in serious condition after suffering a crack on her skull and possible brain damage, and is in the Intensive Care Unit.

In the police report lodged on the matter, the two were said to be on their way to a night market near their home in Seri Kembangan around 8.30pm last Monday, when a Proton Wira cut into their lane at a T-junction and knocked them into a drain.

According to Chong’s sister, Chiew Seek, 27, the driver of the car did not stop, and Chong picked himself up and gave chase on his motorcycle before catching up a few hundred metres later.

She said a heated argument took place when the driver allegedly refused to acknowledge his mistake and challenged Chong to a fist fight.

Chong finally left the area for a nearby police station, after both parties agreed to lodge reports, she added.

However, while on their way to the station, the driver rammed his car into the couple.

According to eyewitness accounts, he even got out of his car after ramming them and kicked Chong several times while shouting at him before fleeing the scene. Chong and Tee were rushed to Hospital Serdang before being transferred to Sunway Medical Centre for treatment.

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Zainal Rashid Abu Bakar confirmed the incident. The driver of the car has lodged a police report.

An accident can bring out the animal instinct of some Msian immediately. It's sad to know that this is not only one case or two, but happens too often in accidents. Why do these unnecessary conflict arises? We wasnt taught in family or in school to resolve it amicably?? Or we come from violent family background? Well it s not only in the case of driving we can observed, just take a bus or LRT ride.. or taking lift in shopping malls. You will understand. My friends who went to Austria told me basically there's no whatsoever form of control to make sure the Austrians buy the tickets before getting onboard the train. This is because the people there have self honor, self examination and 1st class mentality. Imagine the same thing for our LRT or toll. Most will just jump onboard w/o any remorse. In Scotland, ppol line up under cold drizzling of rain to get into bus. Msia? if u choose to act in wholesome behaviour and line up (which i did long ago) you will only get your ride after 3-4 rides later because those who came to the station latest usually board the train first, if u know what i mean.

2nd factor is we are not even prepared to embrace education and culture programs in TVs, radios and internet. Switch on your TV, switch channel repeatedly... it s all entertainment, and worse , these entertainment oftenly insult our intelligence. Those advertisement are too raw, because anything too sophisticated the message cant across to the majority of the rakyat. Take a look at ads in overseas, maybe our neighbor's Spore and Thailand... you will feel that we are sheltered frogs.

For as long as our direct and indirect education arent able to equip us in proper mentality, for that long that we are gonna be living in 3rd class environment and facility.

Illusion of Money

Rags make paper

Paper makes money

Money makes banks

Banks make loans

Loans make beggars

Beggars make rags.

-Anon. English 19th C.

An illustration of how money circulates in our economy. But this is a lil extreme. But really when one thinks of what is money, you will come to the conclusion that it is illusion played by ppol who master the skills of handling and control money and used the money they amassed to control capital(labor, equipment, land, intellectual) to enslave them into making bundles more money for them.

Some may wonder whether the phrase the rich get richer and the poor get poorer originates from the illusion of money

Driving too Slow..

While we are on 'a' strange route, we may ask ourselves, is this the right path to the location, is this the fastest route there is? Or maybe we will ask, will there be obstacles using this route such as toll or traffic jam..... Many many doubtful questions.. So do i constantly ask myself..

I had been asking myself, with the car equipped to be only capable on this special route, it seems i have to choose this direction. Without money for a stronger vehicles,i m left with this darn path......

This path, is a very straight route and well maintained, and the name of the highway too, is very prestigious. All in all, its good for people who desire to reach at destinations which this road can bring you to.... But I have a direction that cant be reached thru driving consistently here... i will need to take a de tour somewhere in the future... predicting that such detour will eat into the time needed to reach my location.

Of coz there's only few options left..

to stay the course and drive at the most efficient and fastest speed, so that when its time to detour, i could bring along my driving skill and also such detour can be rebated by the time saved thru driving faster at the lane.

to do trailblazing.. since i donot have the vehicle needed for my direction, probably, i shud do a direct routing, by creating a new direct route... That, for one is risky , and to do such thing when u have a vehicle for the prestigious lane, to some is foolish.

to stay the course by day and to change my direction by night and by weekend, deeply affecting my day performance and my mental strength to continue on..

Dilemma .

Just When You Stop Chasing

Its sad.. after much work in applying jobs with many companies... only few responded. So when it came to me on the same day i was offered 2 jobs at prominent companies, i was very excited, and thinking hard about the choice to take.

However, today , when things had set and i had made up my mind to go "that" company... I got a call from the company which i had first applied for. Thinking that there s no hope due to the imperfect resume i sent in, i had moved on long ago... that was sent 1.5 months back... Heck, it calls me today ...

Sad.. because the company was somehow my priority choice, and it was a lil dazzling and i felt very honored to be called to go for an interview.. well too late.. i also do not wanna build my reputation as a frog even before i join a single company.. So i rejected it.. well life goes on.

Am I angel ? am i evil?

There is one pathetic angel or evil apps in facebook, which determines whether how evil or angel u are by just a click of an interactive button. it then generates a "very" accurate result whether u are a damn evil or pure angel.. well im intrigued by the attention given to it, somehow modern sapiens becoming more and more engrossed with mind numbing activities.

anyway, to join in the "fun" i tot maybe i would want to "participate" but at the same time "brush" up my excel formulas.. anyway, not really brushin up.. cos its a lil to simplified, not that i am intelligent, just wondering such basic apps which can be created by layman such as me also can gain so much attention from around the globe. By the way, from this thing i learn the usefulness of google doc , damn chun.

Aiseh, i can only project the spreadsheet here, if wanna interact with it, either u download my excel file or u wait till i finish studying vba ok ?
u can play my excel by keep clicking on the black area, same as the way u click the meter in facebook apps of ANGEL EVIL....

Turn off his water Tap la! Sure work one...

“Little do the people know that what the opposition government is giving comes from the Barisan Nasional Federal government,” he claimed when debating the president’s policy speech at the Umno General Assembly here on Friday.

Some uneducated Selangor UMNO delegate arguing over the fact that the aid given by Pakatan to rakyat was suppose to be from BN. i disagree

I have 3 big contention here.

Firstly, money from federal government is not BN's money. It is the money of rakyat and due to the confidence of the rakyat, BN is given the power to allocate fairly to the states in Malaysia. It is never the money of BN, unless it had been a practice that the money of Federal Gov is equal to BN's one, which could be interchange from treasury to pocket, hence such mentality arises. If there is no such practice in BN, then Selangor delegate Abdul Shukur Idrus should just keep quiet and do some study regarding the issue.

Secondly, the ppol had given Pakatan the mandate to rule and to allocate the fund, hence It is total bullshit to suggest that Federal shud turn off the tap of cash, which by the way , Selangor government should have accordingly , based on State - Federal relationship. Turning off the cash is like both Pakatan and BN is water distributor, and the Selangor ppol voted Pakatan in hope that he can distribute the water fairly and have changes. But BN think of dirty tactic, turn off the water, so Selangor cant distribute fairly and create shortages, thus creating disgruntled Rakyat that dont have enuff water, and blaming it on pakatan. Democracy at all time low. Or i shud say, Democracy is ALWAYS LOW

Thirdly, if they have such concern over the welfare of the citizen, they shud have engaged in such contribution long ago, for the past 50+ years... Y now???

Sadly, in Malaysia logic and rules of democracy dont work very well. The govement is always right and the rakyat always give BN the mandate to rule. Example, in Terrenganu oil royalty money is always channelled to rakyat thru State government. However, because of PAS winning the state back then, the government use direct federal chanelling instead of the state gov. Well, and such act was rewearded by strong mandate to BN in the next election. Well, sometimes injustice is accepted by the rakyat.....

The Birth of Internet; A blessing or a bane?

That was one of the very interesting question raised by my Operation Research professor. I told him that it has pros and cons. He just lol, and say yeah, well we are in game theory class, every issue have winning feature and losing factor. By the way game theory is a decision making methodology in operation management, its not about video games.

That very question lingers in me for a very long time. Sometimes I m glad seeing ppol added value to themselves through the technology of internet. I had also seen many ppol wasting their precious time planting plants, taking care of restaurant, reading walls, playing ninja mobwar etc etc whole day long as though its an addiction. Its sad to see internet is not fully utilised for the good of himself/herself. I am not against facebooking, youtubing, googling. However, do it in moderation n not all the time. Time dont wait. blink of an eye, my sis daughter is about one year old... Blink of an eye we will grow old, what had we done to make full use of our time.. ? Facebooking and farming out billions of $$ in facebook apps? I also do all of these, but i dont do it because i need to, but for leisure n small fraction of my time...

Back to the question... I believe the birth of internet, being a blessing or a bane, really depends on microlevel; individuals, and at the same time culture.

Individuals

An individual can be very successful through partial support from the internet. Such as people who learns a great deal from tutorial, youtube helps, diy , information n knowledge, ideas and innovation, making money thru them, and put full use into their life. Of coz there are also great deal of individuals failed to make full use of their prime time, wasting it all by engrossing in those narrow minded non informational games and internet.

In macrolevel, i can definitely say that as of the trend today, in Malaysia, internet is a curse to majority of the citizen. Why? They do not make full use of it... only narrow mindedly utilising it for entertainment after work , or worse during work. If the trend remains, the competitiveness of Malaysian will lack behind other cultures, rendering us becoming non- valuable workforce, unable to stay competitive because of the education system in Malaysia and also the utilisation of their time to gain value.
I had been to US forums, i m not the type who idolises any culture or men, but i m perplexed, by their enthusiasm/hobbies in increasing their knowledge and their understanding.. etc. There are ppol in US who build rocket as hobbies, and they learn more physics in forums than in ur physic classes. There are also groups of engineers who spend their time forumming and building DIY compressors, programmings that serve a purpose. small sect of LYN had some form of good headings i believe n hope..

As a conclusion, i am not generalising every malaysian, i pointed out the microlevel and macrolevel point of view. It is when the summation of individuals in malaysia point towards the bad side of internet than to the good. i hope that somebody n many ppol can prove me wrong about our internet culture in Msia. By the way The song i am attaching speaks to many of us in our prime time; 100 years

He had been wasting his precious time in 15 as though u can buy time again. During 22-45 he was too busy organizing his busy life and family to cared of, he loss track of time. By 45, he began to realise, however its difficult to gain time back, most likely he s in depression(mid life crisis). Hop Hop blink blink 67 ad, the man grown in wisdom and wiser, however time flies. Another instant hes 99, just waiting to die, he was advising the 15 years old that still have precious time, that instead of losing those time, choose to use ur time wisely.. If not will regret... Catch those word reflect on our life behind, now and future, u will think twice. By the way, how many ppol got 100 years to live by ? so start maybe the numeral number in lyric must alter abit to what u think u have... cold hard fact, not being cynical.

Working Dreams out

Christopher Gardner: Hey. Don't ever let somebody tell you... You can't do something. Not even me. All right?

Christopher: All right.

Christopher Gardner: You got a dream... You gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Period.

My motto
Excellence – to deal with everyday life activity with excellence

Inspiration – to have innovative thoughts to deal and handle every circumstances, regardless whether the circumstances is good or bad, strive for best outcome

Aspiration – Ambitiously gazing, aggressively gaining ground towards ultimate goal. Do the right thing, not do the thing right.

I m determined, to stay the course even when pails and pails of cold water pour onto my head by people around me. I must not deviate from the path i had set.

Malaysia, Rising to Fame in CNN

Malaysia was up in the front page of CNN website front cover, but all for the wrong reason. It highlighted the case of a Muslim woman, who would be the FIRST woman in SOUTHEAST ASIA to be caned for alcohol consumption.

Its another of our record breaking event, overtaking our "successful" project of sending our prominent and competent angkasawan aka space tourist to do some essential research and experiments, but up to today nothing was published yet...

Im wondering if the recent case of a 25 yr old police constable would be charged under sharia law for being in a "compromised position" with his girlfriend, when his ex wife broke into the house and splash acid. Under Sharia law he suppose to be having khalwat with the girlfriend, even if its only being alone with her w/o supervision.... but in compromised position?? heheh Lets see whether the title of "police constable" can saved him .
